It appears like Five is using some kind of relational database. Is this a proprietary database or something open-source?
Hi Backend_Doctor,
Five uses the open source edition of MySQL for all applications you create in Five. The reason being is many of the world’s largest and fastest-growing organizations including Facebook, Twitter, Booking.com, and Verizon rely on MySQL as it is a proven robust database solution.
Five integrates seamlessly with MySQL so you do not need to interact directly with the database server.

Thank you @Jo-Anne I appreciate it. MySQL is a very popular database solution, so I’m glad to hear that Five integrates well with it.
